Huizenga and taxes

Star-divide

ok. this might get controversial and the last thing i want to do is turn this into a political fight, but i wanted to vent about this. there is a story (a short paragraph or two) about how Wayne wants to sell the fins before Obama becomes president and raises capital gains taxes. he say's he'd rather give the money to charity than to Obama. Of course we all know the taxes would go to the federal gov't and not Obama personally. I find it hard to feel sorry for Wayne. It is estimated that he purchased the dolphins for $160-165 million in 1994 from the Robbie family. Now Forbes.com estimates the value of the team to be 1 Billion and 44 Million dollars (1,044,000,000.00). That is a 879 million dollar increase in the past 14 years, or $62 million dollar increase per year. does a guy who hired Wannstache, Saban, and Cam Cam really deserve all that money? Should he really be crying about having to pay taxes on it? yes, he's done some good things for the team and the stadium, but he owes his success in large part to others and i dont think he should be complaining about taxes. he personally didn't create that $62 mill per year in value added to the team, he just went along for the ride.

F Wayne

That is the best thing I have heard yet. I live in PA and am excited that a vote for Obama will be a vote to rid us finally of the curse of H. Wayne.

That guy is slime. He would have sold the Dolphins years ago but never could get the team to win one first so he could drive up the price. Absolute slime.

The real reason he will sell the team sooner than later is because he will make a lot more money by doing so before the Obama middle class tax cuts are in place. Under the Bush tax system he will only get hit with a 15% tax on the money made in the sale. Under Obama he will get hit with a 22%.

This is only on capital gains (not income tax) exceeding $140,000. How many of you make more than $140,000 on investments alone? 98% of the country will have more money at the end of the tax year under Obama. Wayne is a greedy turd who has never cared for the Dolphins. They are only an investment.

Cry me a river, Billionaire.

It's relevant to this site...

because it’s about the owner of the Dolphins. Don’t read it or post if you’re not interested. I happen to agree BIG TIME and I’m glad to see others see it the same way. Huizenga should realize that he risks losing fans with partisan rhetoric. But what else would you expect from the owner of Blockbuster Video, which censors movies that don’t fit their warped “family values” criteria?
