Lehan's season over, placed on IR

CB Michael Lehan, who signed a 3 year deal worth nearly $5 million this past offseason has had his season cut short when he was placed on Injured Reserve today - ending his season.

Joey Thomas was re-signed to take Lehan's roster spot. It'll be interesting to see, now, if Jason Allen gets a chance at more snaps at cornerback.

I cry tears of green

man o man….am i the only one noticing that most of our free agents signings flat out sucked? Torbor was 4 mill….Wilford 6 mill…this guy a boat load…Feeley we payed a roster bonus…..Mclown 2.5 mill……Starks was expensive and doesnt really play….

Pennington was a free agent sign though….and we finally got a qb….so ill take the good with the bad i guess

…..and I think I have to disagree with you on Starks. He is a hell of a player. He has the second most tackles on that line, right behind Holliday. He does need to improve on his ability to pressure the qb, but he has had his moments. He gives this line good depth and I don’t think his salary is through the roof. Compare his salary to a guy like Ty Warren and it doesn’t look so bad. Warren makes over 7 mil and Starks over 5 mil. Their stats are almost identical.

Yeah Starks doesn’t start, but he gets about the same amount of snaps as the others by the time the game is done. And if he is getting so many tackles, does that mean his production would increase if he did start?

Is Starks a NT? No, he plays best as a DE in the 3-4. But I think in order to get a good rotation of d-linemen, guys like Starks are good components to have as supplements to the young studs we have in Merling and Langford.
