Huizenga sold the Phins?

I just heard this for the the first time at this moment on ESPN. It looks like the real estate owner who got 50% share just before the season started will now be the owner of the Dolphins. I really want to know if this will change anything in the near future. It saddens me though because even though Huizenga was very hands off, he still was a great guy and I know it is sad he is finally letting go of his team. Hopefully it is for the best. Thanks Obama...

TRUE

the old man has been kicking around for yrs saying the fins were for sale in fl you cant be 50/50 in a large corp so i read that the new guy gave a couple of shares to his kid leaving mr Huizenga in control but its only a matter of time

its possible, not probable

That Ross could be calling the shots as early as ’09.

Yeah, Hyuzienga is eventually going to sell of more of his shares but its going to take 4 years I believe. Not sure thats just what I remember and then Ross is going to sell of his 20% so he can have the minimum 30% of the shares to be the majority owner. So we’ll have many owners.

IIRC

that is after he aquires 95% of the team from wayne… hence he’ll still own75% of the team…

I am pretty sure he sold all shares to him. It was an effort to not get hit by the large capital gain tax since Obama is lifting the ceiling on it.

It sucks to see him go but I don’t think we will see much change since Bill is given full control.

Let this season BE GINN!

I read that....

if Obama wins the general election Huizenga says that he’d sell his remaining stake in the team because of Obama’s tax policies making the franchise less profitable than before.

If it’s true, farewell Wayne. As the owner who hired Wannsatche, Saban, and Cameron, I won’t miss you.

Seriously?

thanks.....

this is just me……..but I really hate bringing politics into my football. This as someone else here once stated is an “Oasis” from all that b.s. I don’ t care if you’re left, right, up, down, sideways or zig zagged…….we all salute the same colors here…..Aqua, Coral and White right?

Yes. But,

I have a hard time feeling anything but disdain for a billionaire who’s afraid of paying higher taxes. So he only makes 70 million off the franchise instead of 100 milion. Cry me a river.

On a side note, I just thought about what our nations ensign would like like with white stars on an aqua field, with coral and white stripes.

Seriously?
