It was just reported by Adam Schefter on the NFL Network. He's unsure of the details right now, but knows that the Lions have traded Roy Williams to the Cowboys. Schefter does report that the deal involves at least a 1st round draft pick heading to Detroit.
Damn the Cowboys have balls, huh? I wonder what the price was and if the Cowboys were able to negotiate a long-term contract with Roy. If not, Williams would be a free agent in 2009. Of course, the Cowboys could use the franchise tag.
[UPDATE by Matty I] Adam Schefter is now reporting that the Cowboys have given up a 1st round pick, 3rd round pick, and 6th round pick in exchange for WR Roy Williams. Here are some links for proof: Adam Schefter's blog here; Dallas Morning News here.
