Lions still shopping ROY
OK guys as you know the trade deadline is at 4pm. As of right now 2:45 est nothing exciting has happened. But read the article expecially what Schefter says the Lions are actually looking for in return.
This is per PFT:

I know Matty doesnt want full articles posted so I will just put the link. I dont see us making any moves even though we need help in 2 major areas (as everyone already knows) we will stay pat with what we got until the offseason.

He'll be a hot commodity come Free Agency.
I would imagine the bidding would get pretty out of hand.
Asomugha (sp?) from Oakland will probably be a FA too, should be a pretty decent class
OK.... so if the Jacksonville Jaguars are known as the "Jags" and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are known as the "Bucs," what does that make the Tennessee Titans?

they did it this year
if they do it again, it’s gonna cost the Raiders 120% of his salary this year. That puts him over 11mil for next season, which is like Peyton Manning money. That’s ridiculous. I doubt they pay him that. He’ll hit the market, I’m pretty sure.

Not sure if they will
If they’re shopping him now, and he wants out, putting the Franchise Tag on him will only make the situation worse. He’ll hold out, tie up their cap, and pretty much handicap them throughout the offseason. They have a new FO and I’m sure they don’t want to start with a problem. Pretty sure they’ll try to sign him to an extension, and if that doesn’t work out, he’ll hit the market.
Although, it’s still Detroit, so who knows?
