Around SBN: Tiger Woods, Tony Romo Grouped Together At Pebble Beach

Am I the only real fan with a brain?

Let's see..........

The last 10 years or so we have done NOTHING, but trade & throw away our drafts. The coaches & front office have pissed away a 30-somrthin' year tradition & made us a laughing stock.

Jesus Christ, Moses & Mary couldn't have made this team a contender this year. What did Cam & Randy do?

Well, when's the last time the Dolphins EVEN HAD 10 draft picks? They got 'em for us. When was the last time we had this many rookies even PLAY in a season, LET ALONE start? Yes, we sacrificed a few "decent players," but it was the beginning of a rebuild with promise. We've got 11 rookies on this roster, and more on the Practice Squad that show promise.

Excuse me, but when was the last time Ronnie Brown was LEADING THE ENTIRE FUCKING NFL (Over L.T, Randy Moss, and everybody else) in total yards from scrimmage??????????? Oh yeah, and with a start from scratch, make shift offensive line, with a rookie starting center?

When was the last time Zach Thomas missed most of the season due to injuries, (and what.... 6 or 7 defensive backs, a starting QB, 2 running backs..............)???????

You near sighted idiots have NO CLUE what it takes to take a team that has been DEVISTATED by piss poor coaching, management & injuries to build a winner again. It takes MEN who have the freaking BALLS to step up & make the tough choices that don't put a "Dora the Explorer Band Aid" on it & make it feel better for a few weeks. It takes MEN, who have the vision & patience to do the right thing long term to build a winner. Randy & Cam were just that!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, we have Bill (the NFL's version of a 2 pump chump), who will flash thunder & lightning, talk the talk, and run out on us. He's gonna get raises & promotions for every idiot who every rubbed a raw spot on the back of their head under his desk in: Dallas, New York, New England, the OTHER New York............. and then when it backfires, he'll claim "BURN - OUT" & leave us back in the dumpster.

Tell me, HONESTLY, just what REALLY has the Big Tuna done in the last DECADE, (other than 1 super bowl win with the Giants), but live off his reputation & give up & walk away? Did he take The Patriots, Jets or Cowboys to the promised land? Fuck no, he got pissed off at press conferences, made a scene, couldn't handle fan & media pressure, and said, "HOW DARE YOU," and walked out!

I hope you're all happy. Randy Mueller put together the best draft I can remember, being a Dolphins fan for over 35 years. Cam didn't get the wins, and had rookie coaching growing pains, but the team believed in him, never gave up, and we hit rock bottom, to start to build it back right.

Wayne: You shoulda sold the team & opened resturants & car lots! You shoulda let these 2 guys have a fair shot to do what no one else had the fuckin nads to do: scrap this shit & build it right!

Now, we start over AGAIN, and watch "The Big Tuna & his Posse," (sounds like a one hit wonder Rap "Artist" doesn't it) take is to oblivion!

Randy & Cam, I applaud you for what you tried to do. You were on the right track. Problem is fans & the media want that instant orgasm. Well boys & girls, grab your Lubriderm, hide in a closet & have at 'er!

Were screwed,

Dave

nope you've just been sniffing the eminations
of Cam speak and it's made you woozy...

And since you double posted this entry I thought I'd cut and paste my response over ...

mueller draft is way overrated
please enlighten me on how mueller did a
good job drafting last season??? after 1 year there has been 1 success (satale) two maybes that look like role players (ginn & booker) and 1 messed up so badly by a coach without a developemental plan - beck - that we'll never know if it was a good pick until 2009 when he retires at 35, and the rest of the picks either didn't do anything or aren't up to snuff. The only people saying this was such a great draft happen to have been the two guys who assembled it.

btw: if you want further proof of what a mistake they made taking ginn, it's very possible that other then porter, there will not be a LB from the 2007 team back. and who did SF take 2 picks after Ginn, freakin P Willis, who only led the league in tackles as a rookie.

Cam and Randy are so stuck up on themselves that they thought the could outsmart everyone. well it didn't happen and they have to pay the price.

now I happen to agree with you about Parcells, yet it is a much needed organizational position since WH has shown no inclination to do the dirty work needed to make this franchise a winner (aka fire poor football people like, wanny/randy/Cam).
So i'm willing to go with the flow, just to get rid of the losers that are entrenched in the organization.

Cam - loser
mularkey - loser
capers - loser
armstrong - loser.

So my only advice is clean house Bill.

He didn't even take his own advice.
Bill didn't get a clean broom so he can't clean house. He just brought back RW, our fun loving, pot smoking, up and quit, running back. Hows that for being an "Honest Abe"?

Social Anxiety Disorder
- is an experience of fear, apprehension or worry regarding social situations and being evaluated by others. People vary in how often they experience anxiety in this way or in which kinds of situations. Anxiety about public speaking, performance, or interviews is common. Social anxiety can be related to shyness. The experience is commonly described as having physiological components (e.g. sweating, blushing), cognitive/perceptual components (e.g. belief that one may be judged negatively; looking for signs of disapproval) and behavioral components (e.g. avoiding a situation). Not all cases deal with fear of being judged negatively, as some cases have social anxiety without any specific reason.

-Williams has admitted being very shy and was diagnosed with social anxiety disorder, which he struggled to cope with during his football career. Williams was treated with therapy and medication. To alleviate his symptoms, he smoked marijuana illegally during the NFL football season and was consequently penalized.-

-After his retirement he quickly went to California to get a prescription for medical marijuana (which he had no problem securing). -

I don't like what Ricky did in any stretch of the imagination, but his is not in anyway a "problem child". This is a a man with emotional issues, which shouldn't be blindly ignored, just to carelessly throw him into a "pot-head" category.

Ricky
Neo, those sound like excuses for Ricky, I thought you were sick of excuses?

by Gliddog on Jan 3, 2008 9:45 AM EST up reply actions

right
so he should be banned from ever working again because he smoked pot. if the guy is clean and abiding by the NFL drug policy, why shouldn't he be able to work?

Ricky has great talent, he's working cheap, and there is no reason why the dolphins shouldn't give him a chance. The guy is
a hard worker, practices hard every day and 3 or 4 hard nosed coaches say he is one of the best football players they've ever coached.

So in keeping with Cam-isms, we should fall backwards fast and cut him and let the patriots or jets reap the fruits of his labor.

by W NY Fins Fan on Jan 3, 2008 7:59 PM EST up reply actions

I never
said that.  I'm actually a Ricky fan. I think he'll be trade bait, but I still like him.  He's not a hoodlum, just lost.  I was pointing out inconsistency.

Sounds like your more angry
at Parcells than I am at Cam, and thats saying something.

~Am I the only real fan with a brain?~

No, but your probably the only fan that didn't watch a Dolphin game and saw Cameron's piss-poor performance Sunday after Sunday.

~I hope you're all happy. Randy Mueller put together the best draft I can remember~

How old are you 13? 14? We get a startin center in a draft and its the best draft you can remember...ok.

~Tell me, HONESTLY, just what REALLY has the Big Tuna done in the last DECADE, (other than 1 super bowl win with the Giants), but live off his reputation & give up & walk away?~

Parcells won 2 SBs with the Giants.

~Tell me, HONESTLY, just what REALLY has the Big Tuna done in the last DECADE?~

You mean beside rebuild a Pats franchise who wasn't relevant before he arrived? Or do you mean taking even the lowly Jets to one game of the SB in only his second year? Or you talking about putting together at Cowboy team that is 13-3 this year, the same franchise that couldn't win more than 5 games before he got there?

Which of the jobs are you referring to? Yea what has he done? He has done more in 1-2 years with a franchise than Mueller and Cam has ever done in their lifetime is all.

Comical
It's funny to see how things have shifted here.  It went from Cam haters bashing cam and supporters defending him to Cam supporters bashing Tuna and Cam haters defending him.  It alls go back to my base theory on Dolphin fans, which DaveHo touched on: No patience.  Nobody's ever right.  We're stuck in this idiotic cycle.

The best thing Tuna can do in my eyes is to bring in a staff that will provide some stability, convince Wayne to stick with them through a few years NO MATTER WHAT, then retire.  Stability is so underrated.  What I do like is that Tuna is bringing in people who he feels are ready to lead teams.  Hopefully they'll be leading the team for at least 4 years.

by Gliddog on Jan 3, 2008 9:44 AM EST up reply actions

Doh!!! I'm so wrong
thank you for pointing out that stability is the only way to achieve victory.

had only the dolphins stuck with wanny another 5 years, the phins would be about to win their 5th  superbowl in a row. oh silly me.

look stability is important, but without talented people running an organization, it is the most destructive element. and 4 more years of Camueller likely wouldn't have produced anything better then what they have now. A bad football team run in an inept way.

Well.............................
I would take you seriously if you knew how to spell devastated, buy a DS and play big brain academy.

1 and 15
Is not a good start to anything. I respect your loyalty to Cam but to bash Parcells record is comical. Don't try to make your point by comparing Parcells to a 1-15 team that Cam and Randy put toghther. The moves I scratch my head on 1. sign a aging LB from a 3/4 system to play in the 4/3 to big money. 2. Lose a great 3rd WR who also returns punts to a division rival. 3.Draft a average WR with a top 10 pick when your defense is aging and needs and upgrade. Yes Parcells will leave after a few years but its more to do with him burning out from coaching. I think this job will be his last. He loves the horses and has a home in florida this is his dream job with the right Team. Dont be surprised if he is part of a group that buys a part of the dolphins in 4yrs.

Depressed Dolfan
Only time will tell if Parcelss and his posse will work out. God help us if Dave is right. We will be crap for the next decade. I don't know what is going to happen. Its real exciting to theink about the good possibilites and very freakin' scary to think of how bad it will be if things go wrong.
