Today's Inactives

Dolphins: QB Casey Bramlett, DB Tuff Harris, RB Patrick Cobbs, DT Anthony Bryant, T Julius Wilson, T Anthony Alabi, DE Rob Ninkovich, and DT Paul Soliai

Patriots: TE Ben Watson, TE Kyle Brady, WR Chad Jackson, S Ray Ventrone, G Stephen Neal, C/G Billy Yates, LB Chad Brown, and QB Matt Gutierrez

Prediction: Well, this is it. This game is the Dolphins' Super Bowl. They win this game and they are champions, if only for a day. I think they will actually put forth a good effort and keep it somewhat close until the 2nd half...at which time the Dolphins will pull away and WIN THE GAME!!! That's right. You heard it here first, guys and gals! Call me crazy, but I just got a feeling. And I haven't had this kind feeling since the Dolphins/Bears game last year. And we all remember how that game played out. Therefore, Dolphins win, 26-20!!!

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

**UPDATE**: Dolphins fall 28-7. A very respectable 2nd half by the defense. Unfortunately, the offense never got on track...as usual. More thoughts coming tonight. Time for a late dinner....

YOU ARE JUST PLAIN
NUTS!!! not sure these fins can beat even the pats
2nd stringers who most likely will play the better part of the game. That said, I did get a 'friendly' bet down with my buddy for the fins +30.

I hope...
that you're right.  I really really do.  Its a long shot, but anythings possible.

you should know...
that my lucky ass itch is back despite medication. But it aint on fire like last week.

Christmas...
What a Christmas present it would be with a patriot loss... Fins need to hold their legacy and shock the world. All I have to say any given sunday!

Any given Sunday, baby!!!!

We're gonna need some...
bounces (a few more than normal) our way like last week on that crazy fumble recovery...and particularly like the '85 Bears game.  Marino to helmet to Clayton to the House!!

Thanks Matty
Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to Matty and say thanks for all his effort to make a great site that I visit everyday.

Merry Christmas phin Fans!!!

Thank you, JC!!
And a Merry Christmas to you as well.  Now let's see Santa deliver a Fins win today!

by Matty I on Dec 23, 2007 3:22 PM EST up reply actions

Good news:
Jason Taylor AND Jesse Chatman are both ACTIVE!!

Time for JT to rip Brady's head off early and often!

by Matty I on Dec 23, 2007 3:32 PM EST reply actions

Uncharacteristic drop...
...by Ted Ginn, costing us an 11 yard gain on 1st down.

by Matty I on Dec 23, 2007 4:20 PM EST reply actions

Great stop on 3rd and 1
Now how about a FIRST DOWN by the offense??

by Matty I on Dec 23, 2007 4:45 PM EST reply actions

weather to get...
rough in second half. More weather the better.

by JC @ The Phinsider on Dec 23, 2007 4:48 PM EST reply actions

Are you thinking...
Beck could start 2nd half?

by JC @ The Phinsider on Dec 23, 2007 4:53 PM EST reply actions

I wouldn't think so
Cleo's ability to avoid sacks and move around has been a major plus. He's avoided like 2 or 3 sacks already.

by Matty I on Dec 23, 2007 4:54 PM EST up reply actions

Pitiful run defense
so much for my "feeling..."

At least the season is almost over, huh?

by Matty I on Dec 23, 2007 5:11 PM EST reply actions

Yeah...
It has been a long season.  Miami's struggles plus New England's triumphs has made it difficult.  The Giants clinched a playoff berth so you can expect them to rest their starters.  I don't think they will beat NE.  We can only hope someone in the playoffs (Jags, Indy) will step up.

by KDesai on Dec 23, 2007 5:25 PM EST up reply actions

I wasn't going to post anything today
but I am just in AWE of how badly we are playing.  And I have to say, a lot of this is bad play calling.  I know, I know... no one wants to hear it again, but what the hell was that maroney TD run with NO safety back.  A friggin goal line defense from the 50 yd line???

The we get a turnover, and go backwards?

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 5:23 PM EST reply actions

Wow...Lance Schulters sucks now
Two weeks in a row, he's missed easy interceptions

by Matty I on Dec 23, 2007 5:27 PM EST reply actions

wff????
why spike the ball and waste a down there????

by Matty I on Dec 23, 2007 5:37 PM EST reply actions

what do you think matty?
would you rather have the 3 pts or zero?

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 5:39 PM EST reply actions

why not? there is no way our o scores 28
and our D shuts down the pats for the 2nd half.

this game is already out of hand.

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 5:42 PM EST reply actions

where the hell...
is everybody? Still partying like it's 1999 after last week's W.

by JC @ The Phinsider on Dec 23, 2007 5:43 PM EST reply actions

3 points
would have been better

our red zone passing/running hasnt really been effective

id have taken the 3 just to get some momentum or atleast avoid a damn shut out

by Emmett on Dec 23, 2007 5:43 PM EST reply actions

I second the calls for Beck...
I was thinking it before the game, and the only way I didn't want to see Beck is if Cleo was lighting it up. And yeah, that's not happening. He had the checkdown on that 4th, and missed it. He's staring down the receivers like they're naked and making faces. It's just a horrid game so far, might as well see how our young guys can play

by bassman on Dec 23, 2007 5:44 PM EST reply actions

Does it make me a bad person.....
To want Brady to get hurt?  Nothing super serious.  A broken arm maybe.  A slight fracture to some bone.  Just to keep him out of the playoffs.

by KDesai on Dec 23, 2007 5:45 PM EST reply actions

no... of course not
you did say nothing serious, so i think that was very kind of you.

I on the other hand, would not be broken hearted if he got hit so hard he forgot how to play football.

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 5:48 PM EST up reply actions

even that! he gets the INT
and runs it out instead of taking a knee

this is a poorly coached team.

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 6:01 PM EST reply actions

Lemon
is the dumbest mofo ive ever seen!

first he wastes a down in the first half by spiking it.... and now he doesnt even know he has to get the BALL across the plane

what an idiot!

by YatilGinnJr on Dec 23, 2007 6:23 PM EST reply actions

that's it
I think Cam punched his ticket out of Miami with those 2 play calls. Having the ball 3rd and goal inside 1 yard line and rolling Cleo out 2x and not running it up the middle or QB sneaking it

Awful playcalling

by Matty I on Dec 23, 2007 6:24 PM EST reply actions

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
all he had to do was put in in the other hand.

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 6:24 PM EST reply actions

i feel so bad
for our D, playing so well and they cant even create some pts out of it

by YatilGinnJr on Dec 23, 2007 6:28 PM EST reply actions

ginn isn't that great.
he never makes yds after first contact.

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 6:29 PM EST reply actions

def like booker
and...... what could be 28-21 right here

by YatilGinnJr on Dec 23, 2007 6:33 PM EST reply actions

sorry man... watching this game is like
an itch I can't scratch.

just uncomfortable, and making me irritable.

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 6:41 PM EST reply actions

argggg
if they only punched it in at the gaol line we could go tie the mtherfkn game right now!!! i hate lemon

by YatilGinnJr on Dec 23, 2007 6:41 PM EST reply actions

why doesn't ginn ever just turn it on?
I mean, i know at the beginning of the season he was running side to side too much, but now he just runs right into the tacklers, when he should be trying to make the corner.

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 6:44 PM EST reply actions

i am also sick of hearing about continuity
as a reason for keeping cameron.  who wants the kind of continuity we would get from continuing this season's game plan?

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 6:48 PM EST reply actions

hey, here's a crazy idea....
how about if we have the defense stop maroney?

Quick, someone call capers and suggest it!

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 6:49 PM EST reply actions

well, i guess that means NE will have a
perfect regular season.  I doubt the giants will beat them.  here's hoping the colts knock em off on the playoffs.

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 6:52 PM EST reply actions

4 turnovers
for 31 NFL teams = an avg of 12 points.

4 turnovers for the dolphins?

by LeftCoastFinFan on Dec 23, 2007 6:54 PM EST reply actions

hagen, daniels, lemon, m.booker,
liwenski, martin, peele, all gotta go next season
