Potential coaches who will be looking for a job?

With the news of Cowher saying he won't coach next year, and almost every Phins fan clamoring for a new coach next season, who are the most likely candidates that may be let loose from their teams at the end of the season?  Here's my 'back-of-the-napkin' list of potential firings...

Cincinatti - Marvin Lewis
Kansas City - Herm Edwards
Chicago - Lovie Smith
Carolina - John Fox
San Francisco - Mike Nolan
Arizona - Ken Whisenhunt
St Louis - Scott Linehan

Disclaimer: I have not been following any of these teams very closely and know nothing of their contract status or news reports regarding their futures.

I think most of those coaches will probably remain with their teams next season, but if any of them became available, should the Phins go after them?

Herm and Marvin Lewis....
...would be worth looking at should they become available.  And I think there's a decent shot Marvin will be out there.

Hmmm...
Maybe it is time to start think, guessing, and wishing on this concern.

Like you, I haven't been following to much on other coaches, teams, or even the college ranks.
Scott of the Rams has been assured he'd stay.

Maybe there's an assistant somewhere. College coaches make me skeptical, especially of late. And I don't want anything from New England.

Jason Garrett would be good, but he ain't going anywhere.

Barry Switzer anyone?  Just kidding; just kidding!

Jason Garret
might be promoted to head coach. Lots of rumors floating around that wade phillips might leave just to promote Garret. You are allowed to interview someone if it is for a higher position so if this doesn't happen, I suggest we talk to him.
Let this season BE GINN!

I think of all those...
John Fox is the best of the bunch.

Not sure whether they'll be fired, if I had to venture a guess I might say 1 of those on the list, maybe.

fox is the best of that bunch.

Here's the thing...
I don't want another coordinator who's never been a head coach before.  I don't want another college coach who can't relate to pro players and treats them like kids.  I want someone who's had some modicum of success in the NFL as a head coach.  And it's not looking like there are going to be too many available next season...

Beggars can't be choosers, ya know.  You want Cam gone (and I do) - then you gotta start thinking about who's going to replace him.

Your line of thought...
about what kind of coach to bring here strikes me as reasonable AND realistic.

The list...
only contains three coaches who may get fired - Lewis, Edwards, and Fox. In my opinion Marvin Lewis is a joke. I like John Fox but I'm not sure I like him enough to coach the Dolphins. As for Edwards, I think he's a no-nonsense type of guy. He's a defensive guy and a proven coach in the NFL. With that said I really don't think K.C. is going to get rid of him.
