Source: Lemon is the Starter

[editor's note, by Matty I] This was posted in the diary section, but it certainly warrants a front-page post. And to go along with RealDriscoll's source, here's an article by FOX Sports' Alex Marvez that reports the same thing. But you never know. Things could change. We'll see at tomorrow press conference. [end]

Talked to my Source and Cleo Lemon will Start against the Ravens...Cam said that he gives them the best chance to win. Beck would have faired well b/c Samari Rolle and Chris McAlister are likely out as well. DAMN YOU CAM!

SH*T!I want Beck. Lemon is a scrub and Beck is the future. I will go thru the tough times with Beck so when he is good I can say i told you so. Cam is an ass-clown!

I disagree
Cleo gives us the best chance to win. Lets count how many offensive touchdowns we've had while Beck was in: 0. By the time Beck is "ready" he'll be 30. I just hope they win this game. We have a better chance to win this game with Cleo and Kyle Boller starting. I think that Troy Smith would play better against us.

Maybe you're right about Beck.
Maybe he will be 30 before he's "ready."  But Cleo will never be "ready."  He just doesn't have the ability.  He's been around long enough and has played enough that we can evaluate his ability.  On the other hand, while you may be right about Beck, the fact is: a) he just flat hasn't played enough for anybody to make that evaluation yet, and b) not playing him is not going to get him "ready" any faster.

The Dolphins' goal for the rest of this year should be to change point A and start taking some baby steps toward changing point B.  (And that goes for all our untested rookies, btw, not just Beck.)

Agree with that...
Maybe Beck will in time prove, in layman's terms, to 'suck'. Leo however, we already know is lousy, there's no need to keep playing him for us to figure that out!

Play Beck.

by Natalya on Dec 11, 2007 7:01 PM EST up reply actions

That's Cam
No need to put the rookie in soft situations, how else would he fail forward fast. NE on the road now that is a time to start beck, unless of course they have home field locked up and are resting the first teamers.

But Beck will likely only play if lemon does some sort of disaster (say 5 fumbles and 3 picks) or maybe in the cincy game.

Cam's a loser and Wayne should fire him now.

Couldn't agree more....
Lemon is going to suck this game at home against a moderate team, and Cam will start Beck against a Pats team that wants to show the league just how large a point margin they can work up.

Great plan.

Oh no, here we go!

Great plan.
Yup, just liked he let Lemon start in Miami against the bills after the bye and let our rookie QB start his 1st 2 games in Philly and Blitzburgh.

What a F'n moron, hehe, he is really a imbecile. Has anyone really screwed up more in his 1st year?

by Neo on Dec 11, 2007 11:26 PM EST up reply actions

patriots
I'm not a fan of Lemon...  but since the season is a wash, as long as we have SOMETHING to play for (i.e. beating the patriots) we ought to have Lemon in b/c he really does give us the best chance to beat them, and he'll need all the real-time game experience he can get before then.

after the patriots game, let Beck finish up the season in the last game

by JeffT on Dec 11, 2007 10:34 PM EST reply actions

told u so...
I knew he would start Lemon.

Look, he wants to win 1 game. @NE is going to ugly next week, so let Lemon take that beating. At home vs Cincy is a great way for John to build his confdience n go into the offseason and the right foot.

Thats Cameron all over
Petrino resigned from Atlanta,  Cameron needs to resign from Miami.

Screw Cameron and his 1 vistory, probably cost us his only victory when he started Lemon after the bye, I can't wait to see his @ss fired. If Wayne doesn't fire him, then f*ck him too. Cameorn is a complete moron.

by Neo on Dec 11, 2007 11:13 PM EST reply actions

PS
no worries though, Beck can always get the experience he would've gotten these last 4 games, the 1st 4 of next year so that year can be shot to sh*t too.

by Neo on Dec 11, 2007 11:15 PM EST up reply actions

or worse
we'll have to have another in an endless string of caretaker QB's because the QB of the future was never developed during this losing season, nor given enough playing time for the team to feel comfortable with him.

No way does Beck start next season, don't see how it is possible.

Most likely a wasted pick as a result.

Is there any reason to watch now?
Someone please post and tell me why I should be watching the game for.

2 of the worst offenses in football? 2 of the worst starting QBs (outside of ray lucas and trent dilfer) leading their teams. YAWN.

This has all the makings of a 10 turnover 9-6 blow out.

Will Cam play anyone worth seeing? and since worrell's out for the year, we can't even play pinball safety drink. (have a shot every time worrell bounced off the RB - boy you could get blitzed playing that game)

I would have thought so but
Buffalo pretty much solved that problem.
High and short and don't worry since cleo will
mess up the short field. I expect more of the same.

More Great News
From Tim Graham, Palm Beach Post Staff Writer:

A source close to the Dolphins told The Palm Beach Post on Tuesday that Cleo Lemon will be the starting quarterback Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens and may have already been given the job for the Dec. 23 game against the New England Patriots, too.

Isn't it great?

by Neo on Dec 12, 2007 8:53 AM EST reply actions

Yeah
now there really is no reason to watch.

Cam benches the highly touted draft pick that he helped choose, that he said was their guy all along, in favor of a career backup.

Nice going cam, having Leo in there is sure to make the pats game be a blowout by only say, 42 points, instead of 44.

Can Cam, ahora, now, pronto!

by Natalya on Dec 12, 2007 9:48 AM EST up reply actions

Wait there's more
*Hot off the Wire

This just in:

Cameron has reportedly said, if he stays on, he will draft McFadden (& his family) and put them on special teams.

Cameron said that the thought of Ronnie Brown and Darren McFadden returning kick-offs and some punts has him pondering TDs. He will put the Brown and Mcfadden in return duties all pre-season as he did with his RB's this previous pre-season.

**More to come as it becomes available*

by Neo on Dec 12, 2007 1:36 PM EST up reply actions

LOL
I was about to say that Cam would vow to draft DeSean Jackson, another return man/3rd wide receiver this year and put him and Ginn on special teams together :)

by Natalya on Dec 12, 2007 1:39 PM EST up reply actions

I think you have that wrong
I'm sure I heard him say that McFadden would be kicking off, not receiving the kicks. you know anyone who can run like that must have a stong leg.

In NFL network
they were saying that CCam is history in Miami. It was comment made in one of there prog were Deon analise. So , like they say"went the river have a sound, is that the water is coming" Obviously CCam is a goner sonner than latter. Don't know if that is the best way to go. This org is destine to fail. No continuity equal lossing season 4 ever.
