Why the Dolphins are winless
As explained by Peter King
I saw this on MMQB over at SI.com
It shows in very clear terms why the Dolphins have not succeeded...horrible drafts. Jamar Fletcher over Drew Brees when we already had Madison AND Surtain. Wanny kept making excuses that having a third CB was important. Still makes me angry to this day. Oh! And Eddie Moore over Boldin. John Avery over Randy Moss. Those are the immediate ones that come to mind.

Hey...
In short, it is hard to have a competitive football team when you go 5 years w/o drafting, trading for, or signing a player that actually stays on your roster!
Oops
Funny story though. I had a friend that worked for a football publication. He once wrote a negative article about Wanny his last year as coach. Wanny didn't like the article and had someone call him to criticize it. Saying he got the facts wrong. I was amused that Wanny had time to comment on articles instead of coaching, drafting well, etc. You know, things that are part of his job.
Wanny...
Unbelievable the bad moves made by this organization. AND WAYNE wants to conduct internal audits to see what went wrong THIS YEAR.
Dear Wayne,
Nothing went wrong this year except that Randy and Cam got rid of the dead-weight on this team that should never have been drafted or traded for to begin with... The moves that were made should have happened years ago.
My advice is that the sooner you understand this, the better you will feel. Let Randy/Cam have 2 more drafts and continue to build this team before you make a move. This last draft has the potential to be the best one your organization has had in a while. (Imagine how good it could be if Beck turns into that Franchise QB you've been looking for...)
Too many times people are quick to judge, etc. Maybe the reason Saban really left was because he realized how screwed up he really made things. Nobody in the past 2-3 regimes have been willing to make the moves necessary to give this team speed, upgrade the positions that required upgrading, bringing in some youth, etc. UNTIL NOW.
You hired Cam and Randy to do a job. Let them. The offense is better than it was last year. Nobody thought the defense would be this bad and age this fast. Let them work on the defense through the draft and free agency - we are enough under the cap to address this now.
IF - and that is a big IF - Beck turns into a gem, you have the cornerstone on offense to build. A solid line, top 5 running back - when healthy, playmakers with speed at the WR spots...
The focus of the off-season was the offense - that is not this teams problem. Maybe they focus on the defense next season and we see this thing turn around faster than we thought...
